The Southern Interior Construction Association is an amalgamation of the Kamloops & District Building Exchange and the South Okanagan Contractors Association. As membership in both organizations grew it became apparent that the two organizations could function more efficiently as one. In 1962 the two organizations merged and in 1969 SICA was registered under the Societies Act. SICA is a non-profit membership organization representing the construction industry in the southern interior of British Columbia.
