Nomination Period Opens for SICA’s Industry Awards of Excellence
January 11, 2021 - The nomination deadline has been extended to March 15, 2021.
--
The nomination period for SICA’s 2nd Annual Industry Awards of Excellence has begun. Nominations will be accepted until January 15th, 2021. Winners will be recognized during a ceremony; SICA will be waiting until early 2021 to determine if the ceremony will be virtual or a socially distanced in-person event.
New institutional, commercial, industrial building, multi-family, renovation projects that have been completed June 30, 2019, through December 31, 2020, are eligible for nomination. In addition to SICA Member of the Year, Education Leadership, Innovation & Productivity, and Safety Program/Innovation Awards.
This year, SICA is excited to announce a new Trade Excellence award category! The Trade Excellence category allows a trade contractor to nominate a portion or specific detail of a project, but not the entire project.
The awards recognize the contributions of individuals, projects, and organizations who are leaders in construction. The awards program is open to all relevant organizations and individuals who meet the requirements of each award. The 2019 Industry Awards of Excellence recognized winners in 14 categories.
"While the uncertainty of COVID-19 pushed us to postpone our 2020 Awards program, we have extended program intake for 2021 to extend industry reach and nomination quantity in our effort to have our awards recognize the quality and craftsmanship that goes into construction projects throughout our region,” says Scott Wild, SICA’s CEO. “This Year we are excited to announce a new Trade Excellence category that will allow Trade Contractors to nominate their work on a project, rather than the project overall, which will allow this Award to recognize the many unique details that makeup construction projects as a whole.”
Nominations for Building Awards will be accepted from members and non-members. Nominations for Building Awards will be accepted in the following categories:
- Commercial
- Civil
- Industrial
- Institutional
- Multi-Family
