SICA Young Builders Lawn Bowling Recap!

The sun was shining, the grass was green, and the competition was fierce! On September 5th, 2024, the SICA Young Builders group swapped their hard hats for lawn bowls and hit the greens for an afternoon of networking, friendly competition, and some serious pizza eating at our latest event, generously sponsored by DC Trades Mentoring.

The lawn bowling showdown was not just about rolling balls but rolling out good times. From the moment the first bowl was thrown, it was clear that the Young Builders have more than just construction skills—they've got a game! Teams lined up on the lush green, strategizing their next moves and cheering each other on, while others might have been more focused on strategizing how many slices of pizza they could fit on their plate. (We’re not judging, we were right there with you!)

With beverages in hand, our participants bowled to victory—or at least to a fun and laughter-filled afternoon. We even had a few surprise lawn bowling naturals in the mix—watch out, we may have some future lawn bowling champs among us!

A huge shoutout goes to our incredible volunteers who stepped up to make this event not just possible but unforgettable. From setting up the greens to ensuring everyone had what they needed (pizza, beverages, and a good time), your efforts didn’t go unnoticed. You truly helped us create a day that everyone will be talking about until our next big gathering.
