SICA Membership

The Southern Interior Construction Association (SICA) is a not-for-profit association representing the Institutional, Commercial, Industrial (ICI) construction industry throughout the southern interior of BC. We currently have over 360 member firms, including contractors, engineers, architects, manufacturers, suppliers, public owners, financial institutions, lawyers, insurance and bonding companies and more.

We offer a variety of valuable services to our members, including construction information, regular safety training courses, leadership and management workshops designed specifically for the ICI construction industry, networking events, and advocacy.

Industry Members are Contractors and Manufacturers & Suppliers.

The membership dues for this category is based on last year’s Annual Gross Volume in Sales
ContractorOrganizations who enter into a contract with an owner or a direct contract to perform a part or parts of the work. Includes Generals, Trades, Management Contractors.
Manufacturers & SuppliersOrganizations who supply products to construction projects. Includes Insurance companies and Bonding companies.

Affiliated Entities

The membership dues for these categories is based on an annual flat rate.

ProfessionalsOrganizations who are granted professional status. Includes architects, engineers, lawyers, accountants.
OwnerOrganizations who purchase construction services
AssociatesOrganizations who act in a supportive nature to businesses

What is your region?

With offices in Kelowna and Kamloops, we cover the area south of Williams Lake to the US border and east of Hope to the Alberta border.

Is BidCentral included in SICA Membership?

SICA members have the option to add on a BidCentral subscription to their membership. This can be done during the membership signup or renewal or please contact one of our offices.

Do I see BidCentral projects for the entire province of BC?

Yes, your BidCentral subscription will give you access to all the projects listed in BidCentral, across BC. You can see more of the current project opportunities here.

Is there any SICA member savings or benefits associated with the COR program?

The COR program is a certification done through the British Columbia Construction Safety Alliance. Once certified companies can be eligible for discounts such as WCB. There are no SICA member savings associated with the COR program.

Which courses are available through SICA and what would the member discount be?

A listing of SICA’s classroom courses can be found here. We also have a large selection of online courses that can be found here. Members can attend these courses at a lower cost than non-members, the savings vary by course.
