About Donald’s Machine Works Ltd. in Vernon, BC Believe it or not, some version of Donald’s Machine Works Ltd. has been in operation since the 1940s, when the current owner’s grandfather – Edward Donald – ran Donald’s Metal Works in Winnipeg. Three Generations of Donalds – Donald’s Machine Works Ltd. came about later in our current Vernon location, thanks to Edward’s son, Doug. Doug did machining in Winnipeg and worked for a local business until he could open his own shop. That business is now owned by Shawn Donald and Andrew Blake-Knox. CWB Certified for Structural Steel Donald’s Machine Works Ltd. continues to serve clients in the Vernon area, always striving to provide the best value. We’re proud to have been certified almost 20 years ago by the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) w47.1 Division #2, which is necessary for fabricating structural steel.
